Surveillance video is being credited with helping capture a man suspected of the kidnap-and-molestation of a toddler in Gardena. Video of the suspect’s car flashed across media and within two days after the crime, a tip lead to a suspect. Lieutenant Steve Prendergast says Gardena Police made an arrest on April 9th. Ikeler is suspected of kidnaping a two-year-old girl from a car wash, assaulting her and dropping her of in Cudahy. Prendergast says detectives waited on the announcement of his arrest to ensure their case was complete and airtight.
