An actress who appeared in a Ted Cruz political ad and has been labeled “a porn actress” says it isn’t true.  Amy Lindsay says she has legitimate acting credits – including some “erotic thrillers” — but those soft porn flicks were made years ago and are “R” rated … not “X-rated” as some have suggested. Still, the recent notoriety is helping her career.

It absolutely has – this situation has come up in my life before in my personal life and my professional life, I’ve lost or have had to fight for other jobs because of it. I have a pretty thick skin,  I’ve had to make lemonades out of lemons.   Ironically, it’s turned out to be maybe, perhaps, one of the biggest and best things that’s happened to me.

The ad was pulled by the Cruz campaign after the controversy emerged.  Lindsay says she is a Republican, by the way. She was a guest on 790 KABC’s McIntyre in the Morning Show with Doug McIntyre and Terrie Rae Elmer.
