Mayor Garcetti said today he will be going to voters for help to get the homeless problem solved in Los Angeles.

Speaking during an event where a trio of foundations put up 16-million dollars in loans and grants to expedite bringing housing and services, Mayor Eric Garcetti said why he’s ready to go to voters to raise money for housing.

“This crisis demands we stretch for every last dollar, like we did in this budget.  Which is why I know these councilmen and I are committed to going to the voters to build on what the foundation world was inspired by when we stepped up with money.”

Garcetti later suggested a sales tax, document transfer fee, millionaires tax or tax on medical marijuana as examples to raise funds for building housing.
