PLACENTIA (CNS) – An Anaheim man who allegedly led police on a pursuit today was eventually caught hiding in a backyard spa, Placentia police said. Erick Flowers, 29, was booked on suspicion of evading police, possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Placentia police Lt. Eric Point. The pursuit started about 5 a.m. when police attempted to pull over a Ford Mustang on traffic violations near Kraemer Boulevard and Chapman Avenue, Point said. Andres Rivero, 36, of Fullerton, who allegedly bailed out of the passenger side of the vehicle while Flowers punched the gas to flee, was quickly rounded up, Point said.

Rivero was booked on suspicion of possession of stolen property, a controlled substance and a dangerous weapon, Point said. The pursuit continued on Kraemer Boulevard onto the westbound Riverside (91) Freeway before the vehicle crashed at the State College Boulevard off- ramp, Point said. Flowers dashed across all lanes of the freeway and into a residential neighborhood in Anaheim, Point said. Flowers was ultimately found hiding in a covered spa in the 1400 block of Rosewood in Anaheim, Point said.
