LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Felony charges have been filed against an apparently drug-crazed man accused of stabbing his toddler to death and setting their North Hollywood apartment on fire last Friday, prosecutors said today.    Noe Torres, 48, is facing charges of murder, assault on a child causing death and arson, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.    Arraignment is pending because he remains in the hospital for injuries sustained that day.    Torres allegedly stabbed his 13-month-old daughter about 11 a.m. Friday in front of family members, then set a small fire inside the Vanowen Street apartment. Torres, who had been burned, then jumped out a back window. When police arrived, a kitchen knife was still in his body.    The toddler’s mother took her to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.    Los Angeles police Capt. Steve Carmona said investigators found evidence that Torres had used drugs — possibly methamphetamine.  CNS-10-27-2016 15:30
