Immigrant rights advocates in Los Angeles are joining together and standing up against Donald Trump’s immigration policies, including the promise to build a wall.
About a dozen immigrant rights organizations took to Olvera Street, promising to keep up the fight.
“We stand with our immigrant families. We stand with them today.”
Angelica Salas with the Coalition of Human Immigrant Rights along with like-minded supporters have a message for President Elect Donald Trump.
“We tell him and we tell the Republican Party that we too are America, that we too are citizens of this nation and that we expect that he represent us equally.”
They say together they can work on comprehensive immigration reform.
