Tighter Wrap… Hate Letters and Ohio Attack

By

/

The Muslim community is tense, not only as it deals with hate-filled letters sent to mosques in Southern California but also this morning’s possibly ISIS-inspired attack at Ohio State.

Salam Al-Marayati with the Muslim Public Affairs Council says the violence in Ohio isn’t based on ideology, but rather a social disease that we have to address.

“Whether it’s ISIS-inspired or white supremacy-inspired or any kind of nationalistic tendency inspired, it is a social ailment.”

He says they stand against terrorism, hate crimes and hate speech. The LAPD, Sheriff’s Department and FBI are looking into letters sent to mosques in Signal Hill, Claremont and San Jose describing a cleansing.

Police say they have a good idea where at least one of those letters came from.
