Hollywood tour bus companies are under scrutiny as many are found to be violating basic safety codes. KABC’s James Rojas wanted to see if the allegations were true so he became a tourist for a night.
The tour bus I rode on had its top sheered off so passengers can take in all the sights, however many are afraid that that compromises the integrity of the structure in a car accident.
That is the last thing you want, especially since no one is required to wear seat belts. And for those who do, like myself, might have a broken one, like I did.
Speed and sharp turns were common during my trip up and down the hills of Hollywood.
Was it exciting? Sure. Did I feel completely safe? Absolutely not.
