The city of L.A. will no longer recognize Columbus Day after a majority vote on the motion introduced by Councilman Mitch O’Farrell.
“Through 236 years of history, we are still making history in the city of Los Angeles and it is about time.”

“The rest of the country is dividing itself, splitting up towns along these types of ideas. It’s not helping anything out.”
October 12th has been designated at Italian-American Heritage Day.
