They were all covered in a white powder that police say was a baby product. The infant was pronounced dead at the hospital. An eight-year-old girl is in critical condition and a 27-year-old woman in stable condition.

LAPD Lt. Chris Ramirez says officers were sent to their home because of a disturbance but no one was there.

“The room was looked at to be disheveled and a little disarray with powder substance around the building. No crime, nothing. It didn’t appear to be narcotics. It looked more like some type of household product.”

The woman was seen at a corner store before the incident, looking panicked. She reportedly bought Ajax cleaning powder. Police have no suspects.
