Judge Alex Kozinski is facing more than a dozen reports of sexual misconduct.
His move to step down is not surprising to Laurie Levenson, professor of law at Loyola Law School.
“Frankly, given the allegations against him and the ongoing investigation, I don’t think he would be able to be very productive in his chambers. Don’t forget that several of his clerks have already resigned and he would be very distracted.”
The 9th Circuit called for an investigation into reports of sexual harassment and assault.
