Local Korean-Americans Don’t Credit President Trump for North Korea Peace Talks

By

Vice-President Mike Pence says Kim Jong Un’s desire to meet face-to-face with President Trump shows that his strategy to isolate the regime is working.

“Well, I’m not so sure about that.”

Joon Bang with the Korean American Coalition here in L.A. says the South Korean government deserves more credit.

“What is not seen here in the United States is the conversations and the diplomacy, I think, that’s been worked on between North and South Korea. We saw that at the Pyeongchang Olympics.”

He says South Korea’s president has been deliberate in finding solutions to bring peace to the peninsula.
