A new way of voting in the state might have prevented the printing error that left nearly 120-thousand names off the voting roster in L.A. County yesterday.

L.A. County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk Dean Logan says in 2 two years – you’ll be able to cast your ballot at any voting center in the county with the new system connected to a voter registration database.

“Right now, you have individual polling places that are associated with your residence’s address so you as a voter, go to one place on election day and that’s where you’re listed. What’s going to be significantly different here is now you can go to any location in the county, still get your local ballot and vote.”

The new voting centers debuted in five counties. L.A. County will introduce it for the 2020 election cycle.
