Legal expert: Trump’s victory with Supreme Court on travel ban not sealed yet

The Supreme Court’s decision to uphold President Trump’s travel ban is a big win for the administration but a legal expert says the lower courts may not be ready to go along with it.

Dr. John Eastman, Constitutional Law Professor at Chapman University, says it the matter is not quite settled.

”We’ve got another round to go with the lower court and if the lower courts continue to be recalcitrant in complying with the Supreme Court’s directives here, we could end up with another round going back to the Supreme Court in relatively short order.”

He says the ban should stand.

“As Chief Justice Roberts went out of his way to point out, this was the result of the most comprehensive review that has ever been done by any president before issuing an executive order like this.”

He noted that the ban has already been lifted from three nations: Iraq, Sudan and Chad.

Dr. Eastman was a guest on McIntyre in the Morning.
