Is Global Warming Data Cooked?

Recent record-busting high temps seem to confirm that the earth is heating up very quickly. But one weather guy says “not so fast.’
Anthony Watts meteorologist with WattsUpWithThat.com says some of the record-setting temperatures we hear about come from locations that are far more urbanized than they were when record keeping began.
“Downtown L-A is measured from the top of a parking garage right next to automobiles that are parked. So when they start up there’s exhaust and so forth that compromises it but also the concrete itself that retains heat and gets a head start on the next day because it retains heat overnight.”
He says weather stations in areas that have not been built up over the last 30 years have shown 50 percent lower temperature gains.
