Expert: Trump and Putin denying interference in US election is disturbing

Presidents Trump and Putin vehemently deny there was any collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia in the 2016 election, despite findings by US intelligence.
Cyber security expert Adam Levin says he’s disturbed by the statements made by Putin and Trump after their meeting in Helsinki today.
“Bottom line: We’re in a world of trouble. And when we have someone telling us the Cold War is over – yah – because they’re getting what they want – it’s pretty disturbing. And with election security – which is at the heart of a lot of this – and election meddling.  I mean, hearing people say, ‘I really didn’t do it, I really didn’t do it and let’s have joint committee to study it, so I can show you it really wasn’t me,’ even after the universal opinion of the intelligence community – confirmed by the intelligence committee of the Senate – has confirmed it.  And these indictments go one step further in specifically identifying those people who were players in this disaster.”
He say it’s now clear that operatives sent out massive amounts of malware in emails to infect government computers .
”Voter registration systems, e-poll books, certain voting machines that were hackable to sit there so that when a state launches a new voting initiative and that initiative opens up a vulnerability that malware can take advantage of that vulnerability.”
