Las Vegas Resort Group Files Lawsuit Against Shooting Victims

MGM Resorts International is suing hundreds of victims from last year’s deadly Las Vegas shooting. 58 people were killed in the nation’s deadliest mass shooting in modern history.

Attorneys for MGM argue the hotel has “no liability of any kind” to survivors or families of slain victims under a federal law enacted after the September 11 terrorist attacks. Shooting victim and victim’s attorney Brian Claypool says the legal maneuver filed by the resort is outrageous.

“Last time I checked, Sherriff Lombardo in Las Vegas was on the news about 50 times “this is not an act of terror and the second really quick point is even if some judge says this is terrorism, MGM still has to prove that the security company they had in place was effective and had utility. Now, the last time I checked 58 people were killed, probably over one thousand injured and thousands more like myself still suffering from PTSD.”

Claypool was a guest on McIntryre in the Morning.
