Research Says Good Sleep Can Make You Look and Feel Beautiful

Have you ever heard someone jokingly tell you that they have to go to bed early so they can get their beauty sleep? Well, certified sleep science coach Charles Brantner, who’s also founder of Sleep Zoo, says it’s no joke. If you get a good night’s rest, you’ll feel and look your best the next day.

“If you’re not sleeping well, your eyes tend to turn red, you get bags under your eyes, you get dark circles due to blood vessels dilating, and your skin is more pale and you tend to have more wrinkles. The other half of it is overall, how you feel mentally.”

A team of experts from the mattress brand Sealy UK conducted the survey of more than 1,000 participants. It found that people who get an average sleep of 9 hours and 10 minutes are most likely to reap the benefits of brighter eyes, brighter complexion, improved overall demeanor and clearer skin.

He goes on to say you should do everything possible to get a great quality of sleep which includes investing in a comfortable, supportive bed, creating a calm and quiet sleeping environment and implementing a regular routine.
