City of L.A. Turns Down Grant for Counter-Terrorism Programs

L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti wanted the federal grant however a spokesman says a significant amount of misinformation led to delays and the city is will no longer accept it.   

Groups like the Brennan Center for Justice say the program almost exclusively targets Muslims. 

The $425-thousand dollar federal grant was intended to develop programs to curb violence through youth mentorship, education, family support and social services.
