Republican California gubernatorial candidate is in Southern California today.

John Cox says he wants to bring a message of optimism to Californians.

”Help is on the way, we just need to vote for it.”

He pledged to reduce the red tape that stalls new housing construction and end the gas tax. He says the unfunded state employee pension liability is a ticking time bomb.

”Jerry Brown should be occupying the cell next to Bernie Madoff because he’s been telling us all the way along that we have a surplus, that we have all this under control, and this unfunded debt that we have for state workers is a bubble that’s going to burst at some point.”

John Cox was a guest on McIntyre in the Morning.
