Analysis: Dodgers will face challenges in Boston to their home-run hitting dominance

The National League champion Dodgers are in Boston preparing for Game 1 of the World Series tomorrow against the Red Sox.  Scott Miller, National MLB columnist for the Bleacher Report says the Red Sox have demonstrated a more consistent offensive capability.
“The Dodgers pitching is good. Flip side:  The Red Sox lineup is, I think, more versatile. They’ve got power.  They hit for average. They’ve got good contact hitters.  I mean we know all year long the Dodgers put the ball out of the park, but their batting average with runners in scoring position has not been good.”
He says the weather will be a challenge for a team that relies on hitting a lot of home runs.
“Often times, when you get out of Southern California, the weather changes in October. It’s 45 degrees here today. Tomorrow is a little warmer for Game 1. They’re saying in the 50’s during the day. It’s going to be in the 40’s, possibly high 30’s at night.  The ball doesn’t travel as much, so that can hamper home-run-hitting teams. That to me is the biggest key to the Dodgers. They’re going to have to get some key hits with runners in scoring position.”
Scott Miller was a guest in McIntyre in the Morning.
