More major marijuana measures passed around the country yesterday
In Michigan, voters passed legalization of recreational cannabis, while in red-state Missouri, voters approved medical marijuana. Utah is also likely to pass a measure that would provide access to medical marijuana with the votes still being counted. The victories have prompted proponents to set their sights on national legalization of marijuana – which remains a Schedule I drug under the federal Controlled Substances Act of 1970.
