The CHP is reporting that in the month of April they wrote nearly 20-thousand tickets statewide for folks not using hands-free devices. Officials say that\’s about 700 more tickets over the same period last year. The CHP says you can also get a distracted driving ticket for things like eating, applying makeup, reaching for fallen objects, using a vehicle\’s touchscreen and changing clothes.
