Three City of Commerce officials were involved in a brawl at an Indian casino near Palm Spring early Sunday morning. It happened at a conference for California cities. It’s unclear who started the fight. Reports indicate Mayor Pro Tem Ivan Altamirano, Councilman Leonard Mendoza and Mayor John Soria were hurt. In a written statement, the mayor says two men attacked him and Altamirano. Soria says he knows his alleged attackers, but he’s refusing to publicly identify them. The Mayor says he’s filing a police report.
