Lieutenant Warned Department About Shootings In Malibu Creek

A lieutenant with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department claims he knew about three shootings around Malibu Creek State Park before the father was shot.  In a recently filed lawsuit, the lieutenant claims that his superiors told him that the shootings were the state park’s problem and they retaliated against him.  A man has pleaded not guilty to shooting Tristan Beaudette in the head as he was sleeping next to his young daughters in a tent inside the park.
