Police Can Arrest Homeless In Orange County

Two federal lawsuits were settled this week by the Orange County Board of Supervisors.  The result is a new policy in which police can arrest homeless people in certain places, including John Wayne Airport, flood control channels and high-risk wilderness areas.  Cops can’t simply walk up to people living on the street and handcuff them, the homeless will need to be offered a place to stay first and if they refuse, they can be taken to jail.
