The USC marching band was on hand for the ribbon cutting under the fabled entry to the Coliseum. There are 75-thousand new seats, luxury boxes and an overall facelift. USC football coach Clay Helton says the new facility is awe-inspiring.

I got to pull up a 110 young men, into that tunnell. And I started walking down the tunnel. And as I walked down, the hair on the back of my neck standed up, because I knew I was in a place of history.”

Private money, including a chunk from sponsor United Airlines, paid for the renovations. The coliseum is now on pace to host its third Summer Olympics in 2028.
