A proposal to ban overnight camping on certain Los Angeles city streets could create a patchwork of restricted areas.

A new analysis by the LA Times looks at a plan under review that would prohibit sleeping on sidewalks and streets that are within 500 feet of many areas. That includes parks, day-care centers and schools. In all, about a quarter of LA would be off-limits to overnight camping.
