Two suspects are behind bars after an alleged threat against an Orange County High School was posted on Instagram.

Roxi Fyad with the Costa Mesa Police Department says investigators were alerted to the post Monday night.

”We found the source, and we made two arrests in this incident: one juvenile, female; one male, adult.”

She says the male suspect is 18 and the female suspect is a student at Estancia High School. Both are facing terrorism charges. Investigators say the threat posted online also contained a picture of a BB gun. Annette Franco from the Newport-Mesa Unified School District says public vigilance is key in this case and others.

”If you see something, say something.”

Police stress that the school is open and there is no ongoing danger.
