Exciting and new if you consider the Port of Oakland exciting and new. City Council President Rebecca Kaplan wants to bring in a cruise ship to house up to one-thousand people. She says residents would pay to live on the ship, so it would not cost the city money. Port of Oakland officials don’t like the idea because they’re an industrial facility designed for cargo ships. Cruise ships still dock across the bay in San Francisco. No word if Isaac would serve cocktails.
