Simi Valley has more puma problems.

A mountain lion is being relocated to a more remote area after being found in a yard Thursday morning and tranquilized. Neighbors like Cathy Dennis tell KTLA-5 it’s unsettling.

”Up here, we have a lot of, you know, raccoons and rats and opossums and squirrels and things, which I’m sure they’d go after, but it’s scary that there’s little kids around here and that it’s a good-sized cat.”

Officials say the cougars do go after smaller animals that are in turn attracted by food left outside. They believe three pumas are prowling Simi Valley. A different mountain lion killed a family dog last week.
