Once again, the Democratic candidates are saying they won’t attend next week’s Los Angeles presidential debate because of a union action.

The December nineteenth debate is scheduled to take place at Loyola Marymount University. But all the major candidates say they won’t cross a picket line by food service workers. The UNITE HERE Local 11 says contract talks have broken down. They’re negotiating with a subcontractor that employs 150 university food workers. Last month, the same debate had to be moved to LMU from nearby UCLA after a different labor dispute.
