The Catch-Up LIVE with Brian Calle

Hosted by Brian Calle, The Catch-Up is the ideal way to catch-up’ on the day’s news, with an emphasis on local stories on 790 KABC from 6pm to 6:30pm. The Catch-Up will feature newsmakers, reporters, and commentators discussing the day’s news and giving a preview of the next day’s news. 
With the resources of KABC, listeners can expect to hear timely newsmaker guests, on-scene reporting and in-depth analysis of the stories that have the biggest impact on Southern California.
               
Brian Calle is the opinion editor of the Southern California News Group, overseeing opinion content for its 11 newspapers and websites including
the Los Angeles Daily News, Orange County Register, Riverside Press-Enterprise, Daily Breeze in Torrance, Long Beach Press-Telegram, Pasadena Star-News, San Gabriel Valley Tribune, Whittier Daily News, Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, the Sun in San Bernardino and the Redlands Daily Facts.
He is also editor-in-chief of CalWatchdog.com, a Presidential Fellow and professor at Chapman University and was co-host of Fox 11’s You Decide: SoCal” weekly news broadcast. 
 
Prior to his current professional endeavors, Brian was the Director of Sales and Marketing for Sally Ride Science where he worked under noted Astronaut and CEO Sally Ride.
He later worked as vice president of the Claremont Institute; worked as a congressional aide in the United States House of Representatives; and has also taught undergraduate students at California State University, Los Angeles and California State University, Fullerton and a graduate course at Pepperdine University.  
 
Brian holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communications and Political Science from the University of Southern California and California State University, Los Angeles, respectively. And he is an emeritus member of the Board of Governors for the University of Southern California.
