Gas Prices Slowly Falling Across the US
11:37AM Wednesday
March 20, 2013

(WASHINGTON) -- Prices at the gas pumps have gone down across the country in the past week, but not by much.  The latest figures are out from the U.S. Department of Energy, and they show the national average has fallen just one penny to $3.70 a gallon for regular unleaded. That's 17 cents below what the country was paying at this time last year.

Drivers in Colorado and Ohio, however, actually saw prices increase. In Ohio, prices have shot up 11 cents in the past week to $3.65. In Colorado, prices are up to $3.56.

California is the only state where drivers are still paying over $4.00 for a gallon, now at $4.12.  Still, gas in the state is down 5 cents compared to one week ago.
