John Bolton, the former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, joined McIntyre In The Morning to offer his thoughts on the Benghazi talking points and suggestions on what should have happened. Bolton said, "The C.I.A. shouldn't be writing talking points to begin with. The principle [that] intelligence people should not be involved in policy formulation is a correct rule. And here, they're involved in drafting talking points in the heat of a political campaign. The C.I.A.'s role [and] intelligence community's role should be limited to making sure that intelligence is not inadvertently declassified and revealed... and what you make public doesn't reveal gathering sources and methods.
