Glendale elementary school evacuated due to bomb threat

GLENDALE, Calif. (KABC) -- R.D. White Elementary School in Glendale was evacuated on the first day of school due to bomb threat that was phoned in by an anonymous caller.
The anonymous call was made at about 8:30 a.m. After an extensive search of the campus, Glendale police gave the "all clear" just before noon.
Authorities say all 880 students were quickly accounted for and taken to the Whole Foods in the 300 block of North Glendale Avenue. Parents were notified by phone about the evacuation.
