SIMI VALLEY, Calif. (KABC) -- A teacher at a Simi Valley elementary school is on administrative leave as investigators look into accusations that she had an inappropriate relationship with a student.

The alleged incident occurred at Garden Grove Elementary School within the past four months.

The teacher has not been arrested. School district officials alerted authorities about the alleged relationship on Feb. 28.

Investigators are not releasing the alleged victim's age or gender. They're also not saying what the inappropriate contact was.

Police said student safety is extremely important and they are confident that no other students are in danger. Detectives said they are following up on all leads.
