Three Republicans are going to bail out of the race for the White House after tonight’s Iowa Caucuses. That’s according to pollster and political analyst John Zogby, president of Zogby Analytics
I think clearly (Ben) Carson does, possibly (Rick) Santorum, those two, (Mike) Huckabee as well. Huckabee never did well in New Hampshire. At least those three drop out.
Zogby says if it ends up being Hillary Clinton facing off against Donald Trump, then former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg will inject himself into the race with his billions. Zogy says Bernie Sanders does not have to get into mudslinging over Hillary Clinton’s legal issues over her email accounts while serving as Secretary of State.
The news cycle helps him out on the issue. The calculation, I believe on the part of his team, is let the news cycle ‘do what I don’t have to do.’
