The Islamic State’s second-in-command was killed in a raid in Syria on Thursday, according to U.S. officials. U.S. Secretary of Defense Ash Carter and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford are expected to give details soon on a special operations raid which killed Islamic State deputy Abd al-Rahman Mustafa al-Qaduli.
