Police have arrested a man suspected of posing as a fire inspector and entering a West Hills home shortly after fire crews put out a vegetation fire nearby.
Officers were called to Graystone Drive yesterday afternoon to investigate a report that a man claiming to be a fire inspector had entered a home and told everyone to evacuate. Someone then called police because the man did not have a uniform, badge or identification. When police arrived, the man started running…a police dog chased him down a hill before he eventually was taken into custody, Just a half-hour before…fire crews were sent to Bell Canyon Road and Overland Drive in West Hills on a report of a fire..and put it out a short time later.
