NBC Today host Matt Lauer has not won any accolades for his work last night as moderator for the Commander-in-Chief forum with candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Critics blasted Lauer for interrupting Clinton and never doing that to Trump. Sexist? The New York Times expressed irritation that Lauer did not challenge Trump on his assertion that he’d opposed the Iraq war from the beginning. In fact, when asked by Howard Stern in 2002 whether he supported military action, Trump said, “Yeah, I guess so.” Yet, he pummeled Clinton on the question of her questionable handling of state emails as Secretary of State.
