The Santa Ana winds are back for their first event of the new season in Southern California. The National Weather Service says the fire danger is very real due to the high temps in the forecast combined with the gusty, hot winds and humidity in the 5 to 10 percent range. Winds are expected to kick up to 20 to 30 miles per hour, enough to quickly convert a small spark into a major conflagration within a short time. The area’s hot spots will see highs of between 95 and 100 degrees Saturday and up to 105 Sunday.
