A mother is fighting to keep her daughter’s killer behind bars as he faces parole for good behavior.

For Jennifer Lundy, what happened at her home in Montclair back in 1993 still hurts as if it happened yesterday.

“She was found in his closet. The next day, they arrested him.”

Three-year-old Britany Lynn was strangled to death. Chuck Johnson was renting a room at the time, but unknown to Lundy, he had a history of violence.

“Found out the bench warrant was for abusing his wife and his mother-in-law. Found out from his mother-in-law that she tried to get him picked up from the police because she was afraid something was going to happen ”

Lundy says if Johnson’s released, he won’t have to join a registry for violence, drugs or sexual abuse. His parole hearing November 30th.
