The LAPD and city council are offering thousands of dollars to help catch a couple of men who are on a crime spree. KABC’s James Rojas tells us they’ve already hit over a dozen cellphone stores in South LA.

Video surveillance from a Metro PCS store near Central and Florence Avenues shows two black men entering the empty store.

“The primary suspect… he’s usually armed with a handgun.”

LAPD Detective Daniel Jaramillo says the other brandishes a taser. The thirteen robberies are why the city council is offering $15,000 from a special fund to help catch them.

“The video we provided, it’s very high quality. We felt somebody would recognize, hopefully, both individuals.”

Jaramillo says most phones go on the black-market and can’t be traced.
