It seems that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had some people watching her back after she left her post to start her quest for the presidency. According to FBI documents released today, Undersecretary of State Patrick Kennedy pressured the FBI to declassify certain emails from Clinton’s private server that were previously deemed classified. In the documents, an unnamed person interviewed by the FBI said Kennedy contacted the FBI to ask for the change in classification in return for a ‘quid pro quo.’
Whether Clinton sent classified emails from her private server that could have jeopardized national security has become a key issue ahead of the presidential election.
