ANAHEIM (CNS) – A build-up of gas in an underground vault caused an explosion and leak in Anaheim today, but no one was injured, police said. The explosion occurred at 11:39 a.m. at Serrano Avenue and Canyon Rim Road, according to Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Waytt. “It looks like an explosion blew a concrete block off of a transformer,” Wyatt said. No evacuations were necessary in the area, but traffic was being routed around the scene, Wyatt said, while police awaited the arrival of Gas Co. crews.
