A father is grieving the loss of his daughter who was killed when a man who had been deported numerous times before crashed into her car. Santos Duran is trying to stay strong for the rest of the family after his 42-year old daughter, who was a mother of two, was killed last month.
“Any dad would get hurt. Any mother would get hurt if they lose their daughter or son but we just don’t want nobody to go through where we’re going.”
Sandra Duran was on her way to church when police say Estuardo Alvarado crashed into her car after leaving the scene of another accident right before.
“If the laws would have been there and locked up this person from the third time or the fourth time, this could have been avoided.”
Alvarado has been arrested before for possessing weapons and driving under the influence. He had been deported five times before.
