March For Science At Pershing Square

By

/

L.A. is just one of hundreds of cities around the world participating in the March For Science this Saturday.

Jennifer Wheeler is the co-organizer and says this is in response to the creation of the term “alternative facts”.

“A lot of people were very concerned about the future of science and the future of funding for science.”

She wants others to stand up and support scientists to be more politically engaged.

“In the current climate, they’ve decided that this is an issue they’re going to stand up for and advance their civic engagement.”

Saturday’s event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
