Dana Point Bar Under Fire For “Racist” Cinco de Mayo Celebration

The owner of Hennessey’s Tavern, Paul Hennessy, didn’t apologize for the inflatable wall or “green cards” worth a free drink but rather told people on Facebook that they should write their congressman or President Trump to express their concerns of a border wall.

Laycee Barragato Gipson took a picture of the event that’s gone viral.

“A lot of people from the Latino community who work for the bar, they were concerned that that would be a big slap in the face for them.”

Hennessey said the event was to create a dialogue but former customers are calling for a boycott.
