Cocaine and kids don’t mix but that’s what a daycare center in Highland Park is accused of having under the same roof.
Carlos Mendoza with the L.A. Impact Task Force says he’s seen some interesting cases but this one goes to the top.
“For a drug trafficker to set up operation at his home, involving his own son with his peers, his wife operating a daycare center with kids running around right in the middle of a drug operation is just amazing.”
The owner is facing charges of trying to sell cocaine. Forty-four pounds of the drug were apparently found at the property as well as inside a room with a child’s bed nearby.
A civil lawsuit aims to declare the home a public nuisance.
